The St. Charles Cyrenians were organized to aid organizations who provide services to and meet the needs of the area’s homeless and people in need. The primary activity of the Group is the making of Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches every other Wednesday. The Cyrenians solicit donations from businesses as well as St. Charles Borromeo Parishioners for Peanut Butter, Jelly, Bread, Bagels, and other necessary items. A Bulletin Announcement precedes the biweekly meeting seeking volunteers to assist. The Cyrenians are also involved in other efforts to assist those in need including the St. Charles Borromeo Eyeglass Collection.
For more information or to volunteer to assist the Cyrenians, contact Gail Eichmann, Chairperson through the Parish Office (440)884-3030.
May St. Simon of Cyrene, who assisted Our Lord in carrying His Cross, watch over all those served by the Cyrenians and all those who assist them in carrying the crosses of the needy.
